High-Clearance Structural Portal Framework with Crane Rails.
The Heavy Fabrication Workshop was engineered to house large overhead cranes, high-capacity welding operations, and structural plate-cutting setups. The building features an extra-large vertical clearance height of 50 feet and custom built-up wide flange columns to support heavy 20-ton crane runways running the entire length of the building.
Venture Fabrications handled detailing, heavy girder splicing, and on-site assembly using crane-assisted lifts. Advanced structural cross-bracing and flange stiffeners ensure total stability against lateral crane thrust forces and high environmental wind loads.
